David was honored to be presented The Florida Historical Preservation Award in 2002, by the Florida Trust for Historic Preservation for outstanding individual achievement and distinguished service. This award was received for his commitment and dedicated efforts, providing donated Historical Preservation work for the restoration of the Historical First Baptist Church of Bradenton. The church was originally built by his ancestors, including 3 of his Great-Great Uncles & his Great-grandfather.

Introducing David Windham
David is a 4th generation resident of Manatee County and has always called Bradenton his home.
He is well respected in business industry and is very involved in his community. David serves as a Deacon to the First Baptist Church of Bradenton, where he is a lifelong member. He is an adviser, for the School Board at Bradenton Christian School. He is a member of the Christian Business Organization, C-12 and is a former Rotarian. He also has served on the Fogartyville Cemetery Board for 26 years. David have also served on many other boards in the past years, including the Manatee Chamber of Commerce.
David’s commitment to family is a top priority, and he honors and values the precious time with loved ones. The Windham Family, enjoys Beekeeping as a family hobby. David & his 3 Boys have been Beekeepers for many years. They have a respected presence in the Cottage Industry of Local Honey and are active in this fascinating craft. Last year their home-based Beekeeping produced over 60 gallons of Pure, Raw, Local Honey.
The boys are 18, 20 & 21 years of age. Jake is a senior at Bradenton Christian School, Ben is attending the University of South Florida in Tampa and Travis is attending The University of North Florida.
